Housesitting, Colorado and a ton of pics!

So I started to write a blog post a couple several weeks ago, but never finished it. Here is what I had from June:

Hey ya'll! Its amazing how fast the time flies. Especially in the summer months, I don't know what it is about summer that makes time speed up, but it always seems to. We have been having a good couple of weeks. We also have a lot coming up in the next couple weeks. We are currently house sitting/ dog sitting for some of our friends while they are out of town for a couple weeks. We got here on Saturday and I gotta say, it is so nice to be in a house that was built after 1978 and is modern. We have enjoyed the time here and its nice that our home is still only a couple of miles away in case we forget/need anything.

PLUS, they have a pool.

And Miss P is such a water baby that she just LOVES it! We went on a swim this weekend (it's been raining so that's why we haven't taken more advantage of it) and P was hilarious! She was wearing a full body swimsuit/floaty and so it allowed her to actually practice swimming more. She was screaming she was having so much fun! She swallowed a fair amount of water, but she learned pretty quick how to spit it out. (Jordin and I were there the whole time with her, don't worry Mom and Dad.) ;) I hope these silly torrential rain storms clear out so we can keep playing!

Here are some pics from the time of housesitting.
This is our house. We went over one weekend and kicked the heck out of our yard. (It was really overgrown around the trees.) So this is the final result. Pretty, Eh? Especially with my Romney sign in the yard. ;)

I love this pic. He loves doing crazy flips into the pool. One time he back-flopped SO HARD! But he lived. :)

This is a video of P in the pool and how cautious she is. But she loves it!!

She loves that little floater suit that we're borrowing. She can cruise all over the pool with it on.

We love to take pictures in the sun!

Okay that was all before our vacation to Colorado. We just got back yesterday and man, we had a blast! It was super fast, but at the same time we did so much that it feels like we were there for a long time too.

Here are some pictures- unedited, but better than nothing. :)

Her first plane ride!

She loved it!

Good Morning, Sunshine!

We decided to ditch the actual diaper bag, and if she refuses to be potty trained she gets to carry her own dang diapers. :) ...and other toys. (by 'We' I mean, it was totally my idea and Jordin was opposed to it until I bought one anyway for $4 and it was totally cute.) Go me. ;)

So we got into Denver on Saturday Morning and first thing went to breakfast with my awesome friend Laura that I hadn't seen in THREE YEARS! I can't believe we didn't take a pic with her. :( But it was fun to see her and she is still as funny as we remember.

Then there was the LONG drive to Montrose. I took a dramamine because I get car sick-especially when pregnant so I was pretty out of it. But we did go to this little tourist stop called 'tiny town'. I thought it was pretty cool, even if I didn't show it because I was pretty foggy. We went on a little train ride and I obviously was the most energetic one, don't you think? Pailey loved it.

Gma and P had to say HI and BYE to Mickey while we were there. She loves mickey!

As if that wasn't a full enough of a day, we had a party with family and friends that was super delish and THEN (pause for dramatic effect) MY family came to visit too! They just happened to be in Utah for a baby shower and since I haven't seen them since November I got to spend about 1 1/2 days with them!  It was great! It was so fun to have everyone there! Which is why I didn't take any pics-because I was having too much fun.
Minus the closed eyes of P-cakes, this is a very happy picture. Story time: Jordin loves his blazer and was led to believe that it wouldn't be in working order when we came for a week to play in Colorado because there was just too much to do to it. Well, secretly, his parents and I (even though I didn't do any of the work) had planned on surprising him with a fully-functioning vehicle. But as a kicker, his awesome parents sealed the deal by signing over the title of Jordin's automotive baby officially to Jordin as a birthday present. He was beyond happy. So this pic is at the courthouse where he got the title.

His baby! He has basically built the whole thing from scratch and always has more ideas of things to do to it.

We went camping on Tuesday Morning near Ouray and this is one of the many mtn ranges that we saw. Jordin was a happy boy.

This was a cool drive/scary drive that was totally isolated and was so green!

Just doesn't get prettier!

Miss P loved the snow! Especially throwing it at Daddy.

<3

Please forgive her hair. It's going through a phase....

She loves her Nana and Papa

This is the sign we saw AFTER we had already driven the trail. Someone had added "very, very, very Narrow" to it. haha.

She loves campin'!
This is a blazer trail we did by Red Mtn.

Okay, I only put this on here because my arm. Look at the hand print on it! It's like from the Ring! Augh, scary! Good this is was way longer than 7 days ago.

This was an old mining town that was stellar cool.

We would have to get out every once in a while to let me stretch my legs and let P burn some energy. Here's a video of P playing in the creek. This girl LOVES to throw rocks. She would do it all day if we let her.

Being pregnant and camping/4 wheeling are not always conducive to each other. I needed to use the facilities and this is the nearest thing to us. Talk about scary.

This is a rainbow Jordin and I saw that we could see the WHOLE thing. It was awesome. Couldn't find the gold though...

My cute girl in clothes Laura and Lauren gave to her. So cute!
Later in the week, we played with Jordin's older brother, Brad,  and his family and Jordin got some more 4 wheeling in the morning we left with his best friend, Cassidy. He had a blast, but banged up the blazer pretty good. (Like he cares, then he just gets to fix it later and brag about the cool tricks that he was doing while banging up the blazer. Silly boy!) Here are some pics from that trip. I wasn't there so I have no idea what they're doing, but I know they had a blast!

These are some damage shots after the trip.

Holy Smokes! I think I've finally finished with this post! We really had a blast in CO and were so glad we were able to go.

In the 2 weeks since we've been home, we have packed up everything and moved into our new apartment. Which I LOVE! It's smaller but SO much nicer! We are still getting things out of the old house but I think we're down to mainly Goodwill stuff.

Jordin had his 26th birthday on Friday and we went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate. I have a couple of pics of his cake and presents, but I'll have to put those on later because I sure am tired of typing!

But life is good right now. We are just so blessed!

It's been a while...

Hello! It's only been over 2 1/2 years since I last posted. Nothing really has changed between then and now... except most everything! :...
