We've been having fun here lately. P-cakes is such a water baby and water is the best way to cool off here in the 110 degree temperature! We have gone to the city pool, friends pools, and we've discovered a small beach about 20 min. away from our house called El Jardin Beach. It is actually in the Bay, so the waves are small with the occasional larger one from the passing of a barge. Perfect for a baby. We go with other ladies from the Relief Society and their kids. All of their kids are older, but P-cakes still gets to watch them.
These pics are from yesterday. P-Cakes is teething so she wasn't quite as joyful as she typically is, but it was still fun. She did fuss when I put sand on her legs. Silly baby. :)
This picture is so funny/ scary to me! Jordin and I have been watching the show "Swamp People" and it is all about alligators. Blah! The other ladies from the ward said that you'd find that sign on any beach in Texas, so that made me feel a little better, but still. creepy!
For Jordin's birthday, we got a Reel lawn mower. Ya know, one of those push old school ones. We liked the idea of it and it worked pretty well, but our grass is ridiculous. Its like 6 different types of grass and it grows in all different directions. So we traded it in for a small push motor ones.
So last weekend, we got this new one and then we were left with a big box in our living room. Well, what's better than a big box?
Jordin decided to make a house. P-cakes size!

Hello! |
|
She wouldn't really go in it at first so I got in it too to show her how fun it was. (Yeah, I totally fit!) |
Tomorrow we all plan on going to a new beach that is on an island east of Galveston. Jordin hasn't been able to go with us before because we go on weekday mornings so it'll be fun to go with him too.
Surfs up!
