Whoa. It's December already! There has been more snow in Rexburg this early in the winter than I have ever seen! And it just keeps coming.... When we came back from Thanksgiving break we had at least a foot of snow on our back porch! It was nuts.
So Miss P can crawl now! EVERYWHERE! And pull herself up. So now everything has been moved to a higher shelf. :) Actually, we have started taking the things off the shelves because we are moving in a couple weeks. That is because we GRADUATE!!! Holla! We are stoked! Where we will be moving, we don't yet know. But we'll find something soon. We have a couple leads so we'll see what becomes of them. Ahhh, the unknowns in life....
For now, enjoy the season. Its amazing how the cold weather brings out the warm hearts in people.

Fall
Hi! Its been FOREVER since I've even looked at this blog, but I wanna be better... (as I think of that, I remind myself that I have a HUGE project due next week that I need to be a lot further on...) haha. Oh well, I can work on it later, right? right! :)
So this semester is nuts for my little family. Jordin is taking a ton of credits and working really hard to get good grades and pass his classes so he can graduate in December. He is doing really good though! We had midterms this week and he did GREAT! It takes a lot of his time, but (most of the time) its totally fine with me because I want to get out of Rexburg and start our lives ASAP!
I am only a part-time student this semester so I am not quite as stressed. I am taking a senior project class for my major that is taking up nearly all of my waking hours though (Pailey's sleeping hours). But I love it! I am creating all the name, branding, design, research and everything for my mother-in-laws bakery from home. It is a challenging time table, but I present next week so that will make things better! I love it and have already learned a ton.
Pailey is doing Great! She is 6 1/2 months old already and I can't believe it! She is scooting all over now. She can't quite crawl yet. Its so funny to watch her try though. She gets in the crawling position and then doesn't get that she has to move her arms AND legs at the same time so she just throws her whole body forward and then repeats... all day long! We have already learned to keep ANYTHING off the floor that she thinks is interesting. aka anything that isn't her toy. She really doesn't have the time of day for HER toys, but our text books and Dash's chew toys are her favorite things to try and get to before we can get to them first.
Okay anyway, since it's been so long, here are some photos from our life recently....
For FHE, we carved pumpkins. Mine is the goofy one and Jordin's is the fierce one. BOO!
Bath time. This shows off her long hair better.
We went to a Halloween Carnival this week for our ward. It was outside which was perfect because her costume was actually a great coat and booties. Cheetah!! Rwarrrr!
She has a walker that helps her not get into everything she can scoot over to.
Here's a close up of her. Check out the hair. Yeah, its a problem. But I love it! Except it gets snarly pretty easily. :( So Fun to put in pig tails though!

Our Life
Things in the land of Logan have been good. I feel like I've actually been pretty busy this week, so thats refreshing! Jordin had midterms this week and I had my conference call this morning for my internship so we've been staying busy. I know I said that I was doing an internship, but I don't think I ever said what it is. I am working for American Public Television. I am one of two interns that is doing a competitive analysis for their channel, CreateTV. These last two weeks I have been looking at the competitors annual reports to try and find a connection between their total sales of e-commerce and their advertising for their online shopping. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find too much info that I wanted. But the conference call went well this morning and I think I have a new angle to find some of the information that I want. This stuff may not sound interesting to any of you, but I have to tell you... I love the research part of advertising. Who knew? I took two classes last semester both dealing with advertising research and they have been some of my favorite classes! I never would have guessed! So I am glad that I was lucky enough to find an internship that lets me try and do those things we learned. :) Happy day to me! I don't know where I will take this new-found enjoyment of advertising research, but we'll see.
So I've finally sent out the invitations to the Utah baby shower! Took long enough, but its done. :) One less thing to worry about... but I can't wait! Except I can wait for all the comments of "Are you sure you're pregnant? Do you eat enough? Blah Blah Blah..." I am really tall and the baby hangs out near my back versus my belly button. So yes, I am pregnant and yes, I can eat more then a teenage boy! haha. It's all good, really. I've just been hearing that a lot and its getting old.... maybe its the hormones. Oh! One random pregnancy thing that I think is funny. I have been LOVING pickles. Such a stereotype, right? But they are just amazing! I always thought that was just something everyone jokes about but no one really desires pickles, right? wrong. I love them! Jordin and I got dinner at A&W last night and I asked for extra pickles on my burger and was a little disappointed that there were only about 8 dill pickle slices on it. haha. Oh well, there are worse things I could be craving... :)
Jordin and I are getting new cell phones! yay! We share a family plan with my sister, mom, and dad and we're all getting new ones! We're not getting anything too fancy, (The price of data plans are ridiculous!) but new nonetheless. The most exciting thing about this is that we're getting texting back!! Happy day! I am so stoked! Sometimes texting is just so much simpler.
Another thing I've been thinking about: Costa Rica! Jordin and I are in Logan because he networked with an older LDS couple that do philanthropic work in Costa Rica and they have been working on getting some construction-type work going. So they love Jordin and helped him find the internship that he is currently working at. (We are also renting their basement apartment from them.) But anyway, they are leaving today for Costa Rica for a couple weeks to try and set things up so work and training of the locals can begin. There is a possibility that we could move there when we are graduated and work there for a couple years. I want to so bad!!!! I don't know if it will actually come to fruition, but I gotta believe in the power of positive thinking, right?? I wanna go! :) And that also means I could finally become fluent in Spanish! wahoo!
Okay, enough random thoughts for now. Adios!

Hello Blogging World!
Well, it looks like the Boyd family has finally succumbed to the idea of having a blog. Really, it is more because I have been too lazy to make one. Until now... That's probably because nowadays, my to-do list is pretty small. Not being employed is one of the weirdest things! I have been working almost constantly since high school, but now because we are only living in Logan for a few months and at the end of those months I will be a gigantic 9 months pregnant, its too difficult for me to be working somewhere. I am doing a virtual internship which has been keeping me fairly busy. Jordin is doing an internship right now too, hense why we are in freezing Logan. He is working for Neighborhood NonProfit Housing. It is a business that builds affordable housing for people. I'm sure he could explain it better, but oh well. He likes it so far. He works hard and the most impressive thing to me is that he has his own office! Joy in the small things, right? :)
The worst part about being here in Logan is that we don't have our dog, Dash. He is living with Jordin's parents right now. But we'll be going down there at the end of the month for our baby shower so I can see him then! :) Speaking of baby shower... I'll be having two. One in Colorado and one in Utah. So my latest hobby is putting things on my baby registry at Target.com. I am afraid I have become a little obsessed and I keep adding things and then realize I have way too many things on there and so I take a bunch of things off. I need to hurry and send out the invitations to the Utah reception so I stop tweaking it. :)
Well, I guess that is a short update on what we've been doing for the last month or so. Adios!
